A revolutionary new way to experience flight. Utilizing the power of rockets. Shedding the burden of a tail, because why not? Hand crafted by the greatest minds ever gathered in Stillwater.
Phoenix is a true composite remote control aircraft. It utilizes a blend of carbon fiber, fiberglass, Kevlar, and balsa wood to maximize the structural integrity and stiffness of the aircraft without compromising weight. The skin composition was optimized through multiple iterations to ensure minimal damage in worst case loading situations. The total aircraft weight before electronics is ~0.75 pounds.
With any 8020 launch rail, Phoenix can reach upwards of 150 mph on a rocket-assisted take-off. Utilizing the complementary launch rail, it can also be sabot launched by the pilot with one simple pull.
Flying wings are typically harder to fly than other conventionally styled rc planes. Phoenix was meticulously designed to fly faster than any other plane at the rc field. Its specially designed, thin, reflexed airfoil minimizes drag, and increases aerobatic performance at speed. The swept endplates increase aerodynamic control while also increasing the effective aspect ratio of the aircraft.
The competiton build of Phoenix is equipped with an optimal avionics setup for high speed applications. Weilding a Falcon Elite ESC with built-in telemetry, coupled with a BadAss 1950kv motor. It also employs the power of a 5s 1050mAh LiPo battery, but can be configured with a range of different batteries. *Any components can be customized as desired.
